During the first year of his Bachelors degree in Business Management, Nick acquired, grew and later sold an online hospitality business for a 160% return. Complemented by his experience in IT and marketing, Nick's entrepreneurial talent has been recognized with several accolades - he placed 1st at the Peking University Alibaba Business Competition, 2nd at the National University of Singapore's NES Business Case and 6th in the internationally-renowned G20 Global Business Challenge.
Tony is an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley Asia, with over 10 years of experience in advisory - which pertain to buying/selling of listed equities, fundamental analysis and strategy in the Asian market. Since joining Morgan Stanley's Institutional Equity division in 2011, Tony has participated in the IPOs of tech giants including Facebook, Alibaba and Line. Tony is a serial investor in both listed equities and technology startups, and holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Internet Technology from The University of Portsmouth, England.
Steven is the Managing Director of Language Confidence’s business and operations in China. An alum of the Stanford Law School, Steven is a respected leader in IP portfolio management and litigation. He has been integral to several billion-dollar technology transactions, advising domestic and international clients in matters of PE/VC investment, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring.
Chris is an entrusted advisor to private equity funds and banks worldwide, having amassed a library of international M&A, business turnaround, transformation and growth experience. Giving full credit to the passion, drive and professionalism of his people, Chris has been accredited by industry and country leaders alike for achieving near impossible business feats, such as rolling out mobile telecommunications across Africa - leading and growing a business that was recently sold for US$10.7 billion.
Richard joined Algebris Investments in 2013 as Director of Business Development. He is responsible for capital raising in Asia, Japan, and the Middle East. Richard maintains a long history in sales and distribution to the region's largest institutional investors: he was Head of Transition Management Asia at Morgan Stanley, and Head of Regional Sales for the Bank of New York Mellon in Singapore. Richard's extensive history in Asian markets encompasses over 20 years working for some of the world's leading financial institutions.
